From TV news to executive search, recruitment consulting to global HR—Winnie has spent 15 years in conversation with people, shaping stories and messages in many forms.

In 2023, she began studying counseling and discovered the quiet strength of walking alongside others. It made her reflect: helping professionals carry the weight of others every day—but who listens to their stories?

That question sparked The Helping Dialogue 同行・對話—a YouTube podcast where Winnie interviews those in the helping fields, giving space to voices we rarely hear and stories that resonate.

Each conversation carries power. A reminder that we’re never truly alone. That even when life feels heavy, someone is out there—trained, steady, walking beside us.

Winnie, a graduate of CUHK’s School of Journalism and Communication, has always captured the human experience through words. She also writes biographies and life stories, helping others reflect on the moments that shaped them.

With corporate experience in both global and local settings, Winnie brings warmth and professionalism to event hosting and panel moderation, as well as HR-informed interview coaching—helping people show up, not just perform.

Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing people can use sign language to connect with the world – but who truly listens to their inner voice apart from their family and friends? In Hong Kong, there is only one Counselling Psychologist who can communicate directly in sign language. Kloris Lau didn’t start in Psychology – she studied Chinese Language & Literature, loved sign language from a young age, and became close to many Deaf friends.

Seeing their struggles and going through her own emotional lows, she was inspired to offer better mental health support for the Deaf. Over seven years, she completed three master’s degrees and became Hong Kong’s first and only sign-language Counselling Psychologist. To Kloris, this is just the beginning. She hopes more people will care about the mental wellbeing of the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing, and that one day, more people who are native users of sign language will become therapists or psychologists – entering the world of Deaf individuals through their own language.
